The Plan

A plan starts with a thought and a thought is produced out of a vision. We will get to the vision later but it is important to acknowledge that you have a vision. When we study the bible we come to understand that God has a passion for man, purpose for man and a vison for man to have dominion over His creation.

As you read through section 2, you will see the plan that was given Joshua and how he executed that plan to the letter. The vision that was given to Joshua was in Joshua 1:3, “'I will give you every place where you set your foot, as I promised Moses.'” Therefore Joshua had to start walking.

Now that you are thinking, begin to write the vision. Writing the vision is important for both you and those that will want to join you in the effort to carry out this plan. What I have found is there are those that are willing to join you but only if they understand what you are about and what you are planning to accomplish.

Communication is important to your success. One of the many challenges that leaders have is the ability to communicate their vision and the plan to get there. It is clear they are passionate but not good communicators. When you share your thoughts, you will be surprised to experience the support you get and the ideas you get from those that are excited to join your team.

I can't say enough about the ability or desire to delegate authority. The willingness to share responsibility with those that are willing to be a part of the team is critical. If you don't delegate, others will conclude you don't need them and seek to utilized their skills in other places.

Now let's get to work completing this section. As you write the plan, have fun and enjoy the experience allowing a free flow of thought as lead by the Spirit of God.
